I wanted to pay a tribute to my people who have passed on,and to the memories they left behind. Where my husband works there are many old people and when they pass there families come and clean out there belongings .Most of the time they just throw them in the trash. So my husband will sometimes bring some things home that he thinks I would like. There are so many beautiful things he brings home,I can't believe that anyone could throw them out. I feel like they are throwing out pieces of theses people lives. It is pretty sad if you think of it,you spend your whole life collecting things and when your gone, people come along and throw your memories in the trash.

So I display these items around my house so that these memories can live on a little longer.Like this beautiful music jewelry box ,and this set of dishes oh boy I wish I had the set!Even so how could this be thrown in the trash. One of my favorites is the old sewing things thread on wooden spools and the brass shears shaped as a bird, buttons that are actually vintage!

Or the other thing I have here,Imagine who had to use them or what they were used for each piece is apart of someone history .So the next time you see some thing old at a yard sale or in Grandma's attic think of where it has been and maybe where it might end up. To all those who are gone and have no need for the earthly items but treasured them so. I hope they are glad that some of what they left behind will go on for a little longer and we will think of them each time we look them over .
