Boy I'm tellin ya I keep saying I'll never put up another pool and here that is what I've been up to these last few weeks .We had to put down the last one, sad to say it developed a rusty tumor in its seam, and we feared if we tried to save it ,it would of split wide open and released it's liquid fun filling our basement . It had a good long life,feeling for the old girl,we did the only thing we could, we pulled the plug.
Of course being pool number five that we installing it had to turn into a major project like the last four when good old Dad gets into the picture .So the nightmare begins .....
What should of been a weekend project turned into three weeks of complete HELL !!
Even thought we followed the directions that came with the new pool we still had to do it the Dad's way .You think with growin up and doing things my Fathers way all these years I would have caught on by now . Just call me thick headed!! Don't get me wrong I love my Dad with all my heart ,but he can play on everyone's last nerve when it comes to a project .So to keep the peace we did it his way, all the way . Starting with the new sand we had to add to reading and rereading the directions over and over .I think we all have it kept to memory by now . So if anyone ever ask we can give them detailed directions for their next pool project ..lol!We thought for sure Mom was going to pack up and leave and the rest of us were going to have to move . A day didn't go by when someone would have their own personal meltdown from this one pool project . My confusion is how can one thing that can bring such joy ,can cause total melt down of family and senses !After all the yelling and freaking out and threats of divorce.. WE HAVE POOL! We all have to admit that even though we think Dad goes too far sometimes with his projects ,we have to admit the pool looks Fantastic and it will last for years to come. Now we have to fix the deck ,OH NO !! hear we go again..... RUN FOR YOUR LIVES !! LOL...........
