Easter Tradition

It is that time of year and the eggs will be boiling soon and the smell of chocolate will fill the air. All the stores will run out of carrots and the children's fingers will be stained multi colors. Mom will be in the kitchen cooking up a storm and Dad will be staying out of the way,until the dinner bell rings !!

It's time for family fun and food,I remember all kinds of special things the family would put together for this holiday,from the butter lamb to the egg bread I would love to hear about everyone family traditions . Do you still practice them and pass them down to your children?

As a child I remember my grandmother making a basket for each of us it was filled with candy and toys she would hollow out an egg paint it special and roll up money and fit it in the hole. We would spend the day looking for hidden eggs and toys ,enjoying food except the pickled Herring only the grown up ate that YUCK!!
