Weekend Projects !

Hey there ! Well another weekend has past and I still never have enough time . Who does these days every minute is use up for something . I've been working on Christmas gifts and everything in between .

Then if I didn't have enough to do I started some cross stitch projects I having a GREAT time with all of it!

Quilt update! I been sewin my fingers off I have been doing this all by hand .I just wanted to see if I was able to,I forgot how long it takes ! Thank God for sewin machines !! I won't cheat I'll keep going and see how it comes out.


So far eleven squares, more to go. I hope to finish before the cold weather comes !
Not to leave these out I did get in a new bunch of gem stones and working on new jewelry pieces as well I'll post them this weekend. Enjoy your Monday !!

NOW I HAVE HEARD EVERYTHING !

I usually don't listen to talk radio ,but today I happen to catch the Laura Ingraham show at work. What I heard I couldn't believe my ears ,her guest was some woman from PETA and the subject was they were trying to talk Ben and Jerry's Ice cream into making flavors with Breast milk ! She was saying it was more humane to the cows if we stop using their milk and use mothers milk !Seeing that taking milk from the cows is cruel. At first I thought it was a joke !! But she was serious. What is this woman thinking ??
I have known and still know many dairy farmers and there is no cruelty to any of these animals . They are well cared for and healthy !! These anomals are part of there families.

Does this look like an abused cow !!
What do these PETA people expect woman to do line up in a barn and stand ready to be milked,do they realize what it would take to have enough breast milk to make ice cream! Well ladies guess we will all have to buy a pump!
Don't make any plans for the weekend .I wonder how much ice cream this will make?

By the way what will be the guide line as far as health regulations for the lucky woman who get to produce these huge amounts of product.Next they will want to genetically alter woman so that we have two sets of breast so that they can increase milk production !How would Victoria hide that secret.
I don't know why I'm surprised,people always cross the line and expect others to follow! Happy milking!!! YIKES !

Favorite Things !

My favorite time of year is here !HOOHOO !! I Love Autumn The changing of the leaves the chill in the air .It is snuggle up time. I love to bake and fill the house with the wonderful smells of bread and pies or even a good stew. Just makes you warm all over don't it !!

Walking along the lake or even through the woods the sound of the leaves crunching under foot and the peace that fills the air is always special.

I also love to bring out the fall decorations my all time favorites are scarecrows I have them all over ! To be honest I keep them out all year ,the just make the house feel warm and inviting,I found these little cuties the other day .

Then when I was at the store yesterday I spoted this little girl who needed a home .I alway wanted a little girl so I let her come home with me !

I guess my foundness of scarecrows stared with my favorite movie wizard of OZ,the scarecrow was my favorite.

don't forget to snuggle up with someone special tonight !!

Spooky ride !!

Yesterday was a great day for a ride out in the country so that is what we did .
This time of year is wonderful the leaves are changing and the smells of Autumn filled the air.Many families were out and about,we slowed down so this family could cross the street.

On our way home we traveled along this quite road with lovely cottages on each side it looked like something from a story when we came across this tunnel .All I could think of was the story of the headless horseman ,as we drove through it I waited for him to come gallop through the other end !! It would be GREAT for Halloween !

As Crane leaves a party he attended at the Van Tassel home on an autumn night, he is pursued by the Headless Horseman, who is supposedly the ghost of a Hessian trooper who had his head shot off by a stray cannonball during "some nameless battle" of the American Revolutionary War, and who "rides forth to the scene of battle in nightly quest of his head". Ichabod mysteriously disappears from town, leaving Katrina to marry Brom Bones, who was "to look exceedingly knowing whenever the story of Ichabod was related".

Fall is in the air !!

Happy Friday to all !! What a GREAT day to be out side you can just smell fall in the air. I have the itch to visit the the pumpkin patch and pick out my pumpkin for carvin !If we hang out long enough maybe we will bump into the GREAT PUMPKIN !



I love the smell of the hay when we take the hay ride,and the apples, it give me a craving for PIE !!



Now what is pie without a nice cold glass of cider so I guess I'll have to get some of that too. I can't wait to sit back and enjoy my pie and cider and the kids havin a good time in the patch .But like this young lad I wouldn't where my pumpkin home,the ride back might be a little uncomfortable. Happy weekend!!

Hey everyone ! Hope your week was a good one ,I don't know about you but I'm glad it is Friday , What a week ! There just never seems to be enough time in a day lately .Oh what I would give for just a true moment of peace and quite,undisturbed by nothing. If anyone finds this place, let me know !! This place looks good !

Well I have been keeping busy as usual,my fingers into a little this and that,I'm posting new pieces for you all to have a look see ,let me know what ya think !
It has been raining all afternoon and evening here I think if it keeps up we might have to board the ark till all dries out !

HAPPY BIRTHDAY !!!

I can't believe it already, where does the time go ?They grow up when your not lookin!
We even had some friends stop by to celebrate .I think these two had too much punch!

Crazy Days !

Crazy days ,we are into our first full week of school hopefully it will turn out good,so far so good . Boy do you all remember your first days of school I do! I remember that no matter what grade you still felt nervous on the first day . Wondering how each teacher would be and if all your friends were still the same .
I wonder if the kids today feel the same as we did in school ? Today thing are so different then when we went . I think they are similar,but I think kids today are more bold . The fear factor isn't there like when I went to school ,you knew where the line was and didn't dare cross it . Today they cross it and keep going !!
